About

My name is Guillaume Riesen, and I am a work-from-home dog dad who creates art in a wide variety of mediums. I am driven by a playful curiosity, a thirst for learning and a desire for creative challenges.

I hold a PhD in neuroscience, and have been designing animal tessellations (shapes that can be tiled with themselves to seamlessly fill a plane) for many years.

When I got a 3D printer, I realized that I could make my tessellations into interactive objects! I add a magnet to each one mid-print to turn them into magnetic mosaic tiles I call 'Snuggets'. They’re somewhere between an art toy, a jigsaw puzzle, and a set of fridge magnets. I’ve created magnetic frames that they can be displayed on and played with kind of like a tablet!

I also design fidget toys and puzzles. I love to meet new people and am excited to meet other creatives in the community. Drop me a line to connect!
